I am a Ph.D. student in the CS Department at UNM and a Los A lamos National Laboratory Technical Staff Member in the Safeguards Systems Group (NIS -7).
At LANL I am involved in Non-Proliferation and Arms Control Research
in the Non-Prolifer ation and
International Security Division (NIS).
Some of my LANL research has touched on issues related to the utilization
of remote unattended sensors that cost-effectively satisfy detection, monitoring,
and verification requirements.
My dissertation research is related to the problem of determining the effectiveness of remote unattended sensor arrays utilizing redundancy. The effectiveness of remote distributed unattended sensors has interesting abstractions to the design and implementation of large, high-performance, scalable computing systems. Here is a link to a page describing my Ph.D. research.
