Albuquerque Vipassana Sangha

Membership Meetings

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend -- including people new to the sangha.

Membership meetings are generally where the sangha makes the decisions we need to make as a group -- usually by consensus. One or two facilitators guide the process. The meetings are an opportunity to spend time with your fellow sangha members, participate in decision-making, build a strong sangha, and (when we have potlucks) enjoy some really good food!

Membership meetings on the schedule:

There are no membership meetings on the schedule at this time. In the meantime, all members are invited to join the sangha board for their meetings which take place every other month. See Board Meetings for more info.

Sangha membership:

There is no special thing you need to do to be a member of the sangha. However, if you wish to vote in board elections, participate in concensus decisions, or receive notices about sangha events, we do need to have your name and address on our membership mailing list. See Mailing Lists for details.

Proposal form:

Here is a form that you can print, fill in, and submit to a board member if you'd like to bring up a topic for discussion/consensus at a membership meeting: Proposal to the General Membership for a Decision by Consensus.

Membership meeting minutes:

You can obtain a copy of meeting minutes by contacting board secretary Kempton Lindquist, 299-1631, kemptonlyahoo.com or Wynette at richardscs.unm.edu. Minutes for many, but not all, meetings are available via email.
