CS 575 - Introductory Numerical Analysis: Numerical Linear Algebra - 3 credit hours
Direct and iterative methods of the solution of linear systems of equations and least square problems. Error analysis and numerical stability. The eigenvalue problem; round-off error. Decent methods for function minimization, time permitting. Prerequisites: Math 464 or Math 514 and some knowledge of programming.
