The Department of Computer Science is Hiring Tutors for its Undergraduate Peer Tutoring Program

The Department of Computer Science is hiring tutors for its undergraduate peer tutoring program. The tutors play a vital role in the department by helping struggling students understand some of the trickier bits of the curriculum. In addition to the pay ($9.00/hr), tutors gain important teaching and mentoring experience and a valuable recommendation/resume line for future job hunts.

Requirements:

• Have completed at least two of the following courses: CS341, CS351, CS361
• Have a CS GPA of 3.5 or better
• Be available between 3 and 9 hours per week to tutor in the Farris Engineering Building
• Be social and eager to talk to people

• Copy of your transcript
• Name of at least one UNM CS professor who can recommend you
• Resume (optional, but good if you have one available)
