Happy halloween!

Last year I was in New York City for Halloween. But, this year, I was at home, which meant it was time to carve another pumpkin. This time, I made a starry night:

(This was my first time using power tools to carve a pumpkin, and I have to say, they make it a lot easier and a lot more fun!)

You could always carve a "power law" onto a pumpkin. :) Or maybe the Karate Club network...

Lisa tells me that she gets to veto pumpkin patterns like that :)

(Besides, a network would be really hard to do since in order to be a real pattern, the negative space has to form a connected component with the rest of the pumpkin. So, I could do it by carving out all the space between the edges and nodes, but man, that sounds tedious, even with power tools.)

But it would be cool... :)

Of course, it's easy for me to say when it's not my pumpkin.
