This Java applet allows you to view Professor Ackley's lecture notes in the same size blocks he presents them in without having to download them into Emacs lecture-mode. It's code originally written by Jim Hinoue for CS251 many JDK versions ago, somewhat rewritten by Ackley for CS259 in 2004, and tweaked by Ackley in 2013, for wider columns and making the applet window bigger.
Any vaguely recent Java installed and enabled in your browser should have a chance of getting this to work for you. Java 1.4.2 or newer should do. It's been tested most recently on Firefox 23.0 with Java 1.6.0_27.
There will be a pause as the page loads the applet. There will also be a pause everytime you click on a day you haven't viewed before. This is because the applet caches every lecture you see but doesn't download it until you actually view it.
Click on the left list to move to a specific day. Click on the right list to move to a page. Click the up and down buttons to move to the previous or subsequent page respectively, or use the arrow keys after clicking in the right list.
