Introduction to Scientific Modeling

Description

A Science Retrospective.

CS 365 develops scientific modeling using symbolic computation.

Students will be introduced to the Mathematica symbolic mathematics program.
Basic applications include mechanics, and discrete, continuous and chaotic dynamical systems.
Advanced applications include chemical kinetics, biological growth and emergent systems.


Requirements

Introductory calculus is required.
Introductory physics is required.
Programming experience is not required.
