He's a native Korean, born in Gokseong (a.k.a. Kokseong formerly), of 1971, a south-western home town. He received Bachelor of Science in Astronomy and Space Science (BS), with a minor in Physics, from Kyung Hee University at Suwon, Korea (Republic Of Korea) in 1998. On graduating, he started working for Samsung Electronics Co. (Phone number +81-31-209-7114) as a semiconductor researcher, a.k.a. an electrical engineer at Samsung, from 1998 through 2000 before jumping to the University of Utah in 2001 Fall for master's degree in computer science. With Master of Science (MS) in computer science from the University of Utah, he has joined the department of computer science at the University of New Mexico, well-known for its inter-disciplinary work, in order to pursue a higher degree. Now he is a doctoral student in computer science at the University of New Mexico [UNM].
