Grading:
Graded homework assignments (6-9 in all, can be done in teams unless
otherwise indicated), tests (special homeworks), and a semester
project (can be done in teams, but teams are limited to two people
each). In general, a student's performance
towards the end of the semester is considered more important, especially
if it shows improvement over earlier work.
Policies:
Assignment deadlines are fairly strict -- an extra day or two is usually
possible in case of travel, illness or other such. However, there will be
make-up for missed homework.
Usual university policies for withdrawals, incompletes, academic honesty,
etc.; note that collaboration on homework is encouraged, but collaborations
on tests will be regarded as cheating and subject to the full penalties
of the student handbook.
