and at the bottom is his wife, Mrs. Laura E. ( Clark ) Stoughton, 1817-1871
At the left is their son, Gen. Edwin Henry Stoughton, 1838-1868
and on the right is another son, Gen. Charles Bradley Stoughton, 1841-1898
They were both Generals in the civil war.
Not shown is their third child ( my grandmother ), Susan Laura Stoughton, 1844-
The family lived in Chester, Vt.
