Feedback Questionnaire on CS591-005
So we've made it most of the way through one semester now and we've all learned some things. (At least, I know that each of you has learned things -- I hope that I have as well!) From my perspective, some things have worked better than others as the class has gone along, and I've already had a number of great suggestions on how to improve things from some students. In the interest of doing things better the next time around (and of making the most of what's left of this semester), I'd appreciate it if you'd share your thoughts with me. This is, of course, completely voluntary. You can either email me this form or, if you'd prefere anonymity, print it out and drop it in my mailbox. It would be most helpful if you could get this to me by next Monday morning (Nov 18).
Thanks!
Please comment on the following. Tell me what was good, bad, or indifferent, and what you thing would help make it better. Was it useful to you? Too painful to deal with? Any other thoughts?
- Textbook
- Homework assignments
- Reading groups
- Reading assignments/topics
- Midterm
- Lectures
- Class mail list
- Class homepage
- The professor (e.g., lecture style, availability, grading, haircut, etc.)
- The syllabus (i.e., the list of topics we cover, not the layout and font)
- Were there any topics you particularly liked? Any you particularly didn't like? Anything I should emphasize more or less in the future?
- What topics did you find most confusing/least comprehensible? (No more than 3 please! "Everything" is not an acceptable answer. :-)
- Anything else that I've missed here?
