- Congratulations to our accepted students! This year, we had an extremely competitive pool of 51 applications, of which we were only able to accept 18. But even if you were not selected, we encourage you to attend the DC. Everybody is welcome! Hope to see you in Vancouver!

- The packet submission deadline has been extended to Feb 12, 2007 to allow a little extra time to authors who are preparing papers for the AAAI main conference.
The AAAI/SIGART Doctoral Consortium (DC) provides an opportunity for a group of Ph.D. students to present their research and explore their career objectives with a panel of established researchers in artificial intelligence. The goals of the consortium are:
- To provide a setting for mutual feedback on participants' current research and guidance on future research directions.
- To develop a supportive community of scholars and a spirit of collaborative research.
- To support a new generation of researchers with information and advice on academic, research, industrial, and nontraditional career paths.
- To contribute to the conference goals through interaction with other researchers and participation in conference events.
The DC is designed primarily for students who are at or near the point of submitting their dissertation proposals, with one or two years remaining before completion of the Ph.D. You may refer to the Call For Applications or visit the Doctoral Consortium application submission site for additional information. Note: please use the standard AAAI two-column format when submitting your thesis summary.
All student presenters will also participate in an evening poster session, where they can obtain feedback from all conference attendees.
All registered AAAI-07 attendees are welcome to attend the Doctoral Consortium. (Students are particularly encouraged to do so).
