This class will be an introductory survey of topics in artificial intelligence. It is not intended to convey the depth of any one topic, so much as to introduce you to significant ideas, problems, methods, terminology, and movements in the field of artificial intelligence as it has been practiced from roughly the mid-1950's to the present. As such, you should not expect to come away from the course a specialist in any AI topic, but rather to have a basic familiarity with some of the significant issues and topics in the field and to know where to go to look for further information.
