The major classwork differentiation between graduate and undergraduate credit in this class will be the final project. Those taking the class for undergraduate credit will be assigned a uniform project (to be announced). Those taking the course for graduate credit are expected to devise their own projects, of non-neglible scope, based on the topics in the class. Each graduate student will be responsible for discussing her or his project with me ahead of time; producing a formal, written project proposal well in advance of the final deadline; producing a final, written report describing the development of the project; and giving a short, in-class final project presentation. Projects may be primarily empirical, theoretical, or, in some cases, literature surveys, but all are expected to be of significant content.
