thy sake; and my soul shall live because of thee. And it came to pass,
that, when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the woman
that she was very fair. The princes also of Pharaoh saw her, and
commended her before Pharaoh: and the woman was taken into Pharaoh's
house. And he entreated Abram well for her sake: and he had sheep, and
oxen, and he asses, and menservants, and maidservants, and she asses,
and camels. And the LORD plagued Pharaoh and his house with great
plagues because of Sarai Abram's wife. And Pharaoh called Abram and
said, What is this that thou hast done unto me? why didst thou not
tell me thatshe was thy wife? Why saidst thou, She is my sister? so I
might have taken her to me to wife: now therefore behold thy wife,
take her, and go thy way.

And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me
from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may
obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai. And
Sarai Abram's wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had
dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband
Abram to be his wife. And he went in unto Hagar, and she conceived:
and when she saw that she had conceived, her mistress wasdespised in
her eyes.

And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of
Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself
with his face toward the ground; And he said, Behold now, my lords,
turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night,
and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your
ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all
night. And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him,
and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake
unleavened bread, and they did eat.  But before they lay down, the men
of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both
oldand young, all the people from every quarter: And they called unto
Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this
night? bring them outunto us, that we may know them. And Lot went out
at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, And said, I pray
you, brethren, do not so wickedly.  Behold now, I have two daughters
which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you,
and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do
nothing; for therefore came they under the shadowof my roof.

And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two
daughters with him; for he feared to dwellin Zoar: and he dwelt in a
cave, he and his two daughters. And the firstborn said unto the
younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to
come in unto usafter the manner of all the earth: Come, let us make
our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve
seed of our father. And they made their father drink wine that night:
and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and heperceived
not when she lay down, nor when she arose. And it came to pass on the
morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay
yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night
also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of
our father.  And they made their father drink wine that night also:
and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceivednot when she
lay down, nor when she arose.  Thus were both the daughters of Lot
with child by their father.  And the first born bare a son, and called
his name Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites unto this
day. And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name
Benammi: the same is the father of the children of Ammon unto this
day.

And Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over
all that he had, Put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh

And she said, Behold my maid Bilhah, go in unto her; and she shall
bear upon my knees, that I may also have children by her.

When Leah saw that she had left bearing, she took Zilpah her maid, and
gave her Jacob to wife.

And Dinah the daughter of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob, went out to
see the daughters of the land.  And when Shechem the son of Hamor the
Hivite, prince of the country, saw her, he took her, and lay with her,
and defiled her.

And it came to pass, when Israel dwelt in that land, that Reuben went
and lay with Bilhah his father's concubine

And Judah said unto Onan, Go in unto thy brother's wife, and marry
her, and raise up seed to thy brother. And Onan knew that the seed
should not be his; and it came to pass, when he went in unto his
brother's wife, that he spilled it on the ground, lest that he should
give seed to his brother.  And the thing which he did displeased the
LORD: wherefore he slew him also.

When Judah saw her, he thought her to be an harlot; because she had
covered her face. And he turned unto her by the way, and said, Go to,
I pray thee, let me come in unto thee; (for he knew not that she was
his daughter in law.) And she said, What wilt thou give me, that thou
mayest come in unto me?

And it came to pass after these things, that his master's wife cast
her eyes upon Joseph; and she said, Lie with me. But he refused, and
said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is
with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my
hand; There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept
back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then
can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? And it came to
pass, as she spake to Joseph day by day, that he hearkened not unto
her, to lie by her, or to be with her. And it came to pass about this
time, that Joseph went into the house to do his business; and there
was none of the men of the house there within. And she caught him by
his garment, saying, Lie with me: and he left his garment in her hand,
and fled, and got him out.

And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go
out as the menservants do.  If she please not her master, who hath
betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell
her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt
deceitfully with her. And if he have betrothed her unto his son, he
shall deal with her after the manner of daughters. If he take him
another wife; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall
he not diminish.  And if he do not these three unto her, then shall
she go out free without money.

Whosoever lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death.

And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of
Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child:
then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the
separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean.  And in the eighth
day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised. And she shall then
continue in the blood of her purifying three and thirty days; she
shall touch no hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary, until the
days of her purifying be fulfilled.  But if she bear a maid child,
then she shall be unclean two weeks, as in her separation: and she
shall continue in the blood of her purifying threescore and six days.
And when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a
daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt
offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering,
unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest:
Who shall offer it before the LORD, and make an atonement for her; and
she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood. This is the law for
her that hath born a male or a female. And if she be not able to bring
a lamb, then she shall bring two turtles, or two young pigeons; the
one for the burnt offering, and the other for a sin offering: and the
priest shall make an atonement for her, and she shall be clean.

And if any man's seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall
wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even.  And every
garment, and every skin, whereon is the seed of copulation, shall be
washed with water, and be unclean until the even.  The woman also with
whom man shall lie with seed of copulation, they shall both bathe
themselves in water, and be unclean until the even.

Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is
abomination. Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself
therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down
thereto: it is confusion.

And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom
with the daughters of Moab.

Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every
woman that hath known man by lying with him.  But all the women
children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for
yourselves.

If there be among you any man, that is not clean by reason of
uncleanness that chanceth him by night, then shall he go abroad out of
the camp, he shall not come within the camp:

Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go
forth abroad: And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it
shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig
therewith, and shalt turn back and cover that which cometh from thee

When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one
draweth near for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that
smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the
secrets: Then thou shalt cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity
her.

Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her

Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the
city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at
the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying,
Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know
him. And the man, the master of the house, went out unto them, and
said unto them, Nay, my brethren, nay, I pray you, do not so wickedly;
seeing that this man is come into mine house, do not this
folly. Behold, here is my daughter a maiden, and his concubine; them I
will bring out now, and humble ye them, and do with them what seemeth
good unto you: but unto this man do not so vile a thing.  But the men
would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, and brought
her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night
until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her
go. Then came the woman in the dawning of the day, and fell down at
the door of the man's house where her lord was, till it was light.
And her lord rose up in the morning, and opened the doors of the
house, and went out to go his way: and, behold, the woman his
concubine was fallen down at the door of the house, and her hands were
upon the threshold.  And he said unto her, Up, and let us be
going. But none answered. Then the man took her up upon an ass, and
the man rose up, and gat him unto his place. And when he was come into
his house, he took a knife, and laid hold on his concubine, and
divided her, together with her bones, into twelve pieces, and sent her
into all the coasts of Israel.

Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel;
and how they lay with the women that assembled at the door of the
tabernacle of the congregation.

So and more also do God unto the enemies of David, if I leave of all
that pertain to him by the morning light any that pisseth against the
wall.

For in very deed, as the LORD God of Israel liveth, which hath kept me
back from hurting thee, except thou hadst hasted and come to meet me,
surely there had not been left unto Nabal by the morning light any
that pisseth against the wall.

Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of
thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give
them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight
of this sun. For thou didst it secretly: but I will do this thing
before all Israel, and before the sun.

And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy father's concubines,
which he hath left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that
thou art abhorred of thy father: then shall the hands of all that are
with thee be strong.  So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of
the house; and Absalom went in unto his father's concubines in the
sight of all Israel.

Therefore, behold, I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam, and
will cut off from Jeroboam him that pisseth against the wall, and him
that is shut up and left in Israel, and will take away the remnant of
the house of Jeroboam, as a man taketh away dung, till it be all gone.

And it came to pass, when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his
throne, that he slew all the house of Baasha: he left him not one that
pisseth against a wall, neither of his kinsfolks, nor of his friends.

Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy posterity,
and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the wall, and him
that is shut up and left in Israel,

For the whole house of Ahab shall perish: and I will cut off from Ahab
him that pisseth against the wall, and him that is shut up and left in
Israel:

My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were
moved for him.

We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for
our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?

Wherefore my bowels shall sound like an harp for Moab, and mine inward
parts for Kirharesh.

But Rabshakeh said, Hath my master sent me to thy master and to thee
to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men that sit upon the
wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with
you?

And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with
dung that cometh out of man, in their sight.  And the LORD said, Even
thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the
Gentiles, whither I will drive them. Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! behold,
my soul hath not been polluted: for from my youth up even till now
have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces;
neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.  Then he said unto
me, Lo, I have given thee cow's dung for man's dung, and thou shalt
prepare thy bread therewith.

Then I beheld, and lo a likeness as the appearance of fire: from the
appearance of his loins even downward, fire; and from his loins even
upward, as the appearance of brightness, as the colour of amber.

But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot
because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one
that passed by; his it was.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thy filthiness was poured out, and
thy nakedness discovered through thy whoredoms with thy lovers, and
with all the idols of thy abominations, and by the blood of thy
children, which thou didst give unto them;

For she doted upon their paramours, whose flesh is as the flesh of
asses, and whose issue is like the issue of horses.

And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you.  If ye will not
hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name,
saith the LORD of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will
curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do
not lay it to heart. Behold, I will corrupt your seed, and spread dung
upon your faces, even the dung of your solemn feasts; and one shall
take you away with it.

For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's
womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and
there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom
of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it.

And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and
talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the
judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom
the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants
of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. So

woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy,
having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple
and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and
pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and
filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name
written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND
ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.  And I saw the woman drunken with the blood
of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I
saw her, I wondered with great admiration. And the angel said unto me,
Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the
woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads
and ten horns. The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall
ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that
dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the
book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the
beast that was, and is not, and yet is. And here is the mind which
hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman
sitteth. And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and
the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, hemust continue a short
space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and
is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. And the ten horns which
thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but
receive power as kings one hour with the beast.  These have one mind,
and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. These shall
make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is
Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are
called, and chosen, and faithful. And he saith unto me, The waters
which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and
multitudes, and nations, and tongues. And the ten horns which thou
sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her
desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire.
