        John Baxter is a second year graduate student studying Computer Science at the University of New Mexico.

        As an undergraduate, John majored in Geology at Pomona College, recieving his B.A. in 2009. His undergraduate thesis involved finite element modelling of the influence of magma chamber expansion on the uplift and surface fracturing of volcanoes on Venus.

        John currently works with Dr. Lydia Tapia as a research assistant. He is currently working on developing new approaches to probablistic roadmap construction for studies of protein motions.
