Kasra Manavi was born and raised in Farmington, New Mexico and attended the University of New Mexico for his undergraduate studies, double majoring in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics. He attended Texas A&M University and received an M.S. in Computer Science. His research interests included robotic motion planning, parallel computing, and modeling biological systems. He is now attending the University of New Mexico working on his Ph.D. in Computer Science. His primary research focus is on applying motion planning and applied math principles to large scale molecular interactions. In his free time he works for Navajo Language Renaissance, a non-profit organization working in conjunction with Rosetta Stone on the revitalization the Navajo language.
