  • Chair of the Mentor Protege Program at SC19. International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis 2019 - Assemble a program committee, oversee submission, review and select participants, organize panels and tutorials at SC 2019.
  • Chair of the IPDPS PhD Forum and Student Program, IEEE International Parallel & Distributed Processing Symposium 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 - Participate in steering committee meetings, oversee the application and selection process, secure funds for student grants, and execute a 3-day student mentoring program at IPDPS for two years in a row.

  • Eight times NSF panelist, twice for the ACI SE2 program, twice for SBIR, three times for SPX program, and once for CRII.
  • Big Data Aspect Chair of the NSF-TCPP curriculum revision committee, 2017-present. Led a team of five interdisciplinary researchers from industry and academia to revise the TCPP curriculum guidelines to include Big Data aspects. Coordinate with area chairs (Algorithms, Programming, Architecture) and present advances at EduHPC and EduPar.
  • NSF Software Infrastructure for Heterogeneous Computing Committee, 2016-2017. Participated in an interdisciplinary effort to determine current and future cyberinfrastructure needs of the scientific community at large.

    • Service at UNM:

  • NCWIT Learning Circle. Attend meetings to identify strategies to attract and retain Women and other minorities into the CS department. 2018 - Present
  • Search committee for the hiring cycle of 2017 and 2018
  • Faculty advisor for the CSGSA and Women in Computing organizations in the CS department. 2016-Present.
  • Outreach committee. Gave multiple research talks to attract high school and CNM students into computer science at UNM, 2014-Present.

  • SOE Global Initiatives Delegation. Traveled to Mexico to establish international relations with universities and research centers. October, 2015
  • Organizing committee of the Data to Knowledge event (D2K) day 2015. Attended meetings for the organization, presented a workshop in social media analysis, and coordinated student poster presentations.
