Welcome Professor Luan!

We'd like to extend a big welcome to Prof. Shuang (Sean) Luan, Ph.D., who just joined the department this fall as an assistant professor. Dr. Luan earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in computer science from the University of Notre Dame, Notre Dame, IN and his B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China. Dr. Luan's research interests include computational medicine and biomedical engineering, algorithm design, analysis and implementation, and computational geometry. He will collaborate with the Department of Radiology and Radiation Oncology in the UNM medical school on developing treatment planning algorithms/software for radiotherapy.
